Challenge

Quizhoo may seem like a simple and small application, but the effort the team has put into it is unimaginable. The biggest challenge that the team faced during the design and development was to take care of the minutest of the details.

The client wanted an application that was compatible with kids as well as their parents. This meant that the right balance of complexity had to be reached so both children and the parents could comfortably use it.

Another challenge for the team was to create three distinct levels in the application based on the difficulty level that kids of each age bracket can handle. Quizhoo's team and our team decided on the age brackets for each level. Multiple courses were to be researched by the team to evaluate what questions were appropriate for each stage. This was a time-consuming and challenging process.

Solution

As we know that visual information is absorbed more easily by children as compared to written information, it ensures the effective learning and the participation of children, helping them in their cognitive development. The project was developed such that it can be used as a standalone application for certain subject improvements.

The application is compatible with both iOS and Android so that it can cater to a larger audience. The leaderboard option helps you to compete with other friends who are using Quizhoo. Language support was also included since this app was developed for the local population. The client wanted this application to help the children who do not have access to good quality education. Thus, no subscriptions are required.

Results

The result was a scalable application that would make learning stress-free and more rewarding for the children. The additions of newer levels after time intervals make it more interesting for the children as they can always look forward to something new. There were more than 1000 installations in the first few months of the launch.
